* Sr. Project * Community Volunteer Food Shelf
By: William Lindsey
Fall 2008
"I propose to create a website for the Perinton Food
Shelf that will allow the volunteers of this organization to further
their purpose of providing food to those in need and providing the
public with information to make the food shelf successful. Through
this website the food shelf will be able to inform people of what types
of goods they need and which ones they don’t. One of the major benefits
of this project is creating the site for a non-profit organization that
is limited with its resources and is trying to make a difference in the
Rochester area. Though the creation of this website I hope to better the
services that the Perinton Food Shelf has to offer."

Michael Seiberg
September 2008
Congratulations go
out to Mike for his first successful independent bid
contract.
"Overall my experience at AMC was extremely beneficial to
both my education and prospective career in the IT industry.
Drawing knowledge from both good and bad experiences during
my internship has proven to be one the most worthwhile
ventures thus far in my education here at St. John Fisher
College. "

Emily Lapp
August 2008
Great work, Emily on the
successful completion of your internship experience with
Explore Rochester IT.
A couple of notable insights
from Emily's experience:
"My communication
concentration really came into play .."
"...I had a great experience
this summer! I am definitely glad I did it. I learned so
much and had a great networking opportunity that not many
people can say they have had. "

Chris Jesse
April 2008
Congratulations to Chris Jesse, Class of 2009
Cisco CCNA Network Associate Certification
"Attaining the CCNA certification had been a goal of
mine for many years. As soon as I discovered that my
passion resides in computer networking, I
knew that attaining the certification would be
essential. It wasn't always an easy process and
it required a substantial personal-investment. But,
having the certification has set me apart from
others in the eyes of many Rochester companies, and
brought me one step closer to my desired career."

* Sr. Project * SJFC Community Attraction
Guide
By:
Joe Marino Spring 2008
"This
community attraction guide will be in the form of a website
that could be accessed from both internal and external
campus web pages/sites. It is intended primarily for
non-Rochester native lower classman that currently
attend SJFC, but would also benefit anyone who attends SJFC
as well. It would aid in helping incoming students and
students that are not familiar with Rochester area or the
area surrounding SJFC to find out where particular things
are and how far they are away. A majority of the places
would be within a 15 minute or less vicinity to SJFC, but
some may be 20+ minutes away."
