Welcome to 'Team AIT'

A letter from the Program Director

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you as you explore information about the Applied Information Technology major. We have an outstanding program and are pleased to share with you the exciting possibilities that AIT may bring to your undergraduate studies and future professional opportunities.

The Bachelor of Science degree program in AIT was founded in 2005 and welcomed it first enrollees in the fall of that year.  Having just celebrated the graduation of this first class as well as witnessing the growth of enrollment over the past three academic years in the major, we are confident that our program is of great integrity, well positioned for future growth as technology grows, and a cornerstone for strength in preparation of valuable contributors in the field. We aspire to ensure our graduates are successful upon graduation as well as make a difference every day in the broad realm of IT.  We do this by preparing students for increasingly technological needs in industry and education as technology traverses the borders and reshapes the potential of so many disciplines.

Exciting opportunities await as you pursue your career in the technology field.  The time when industry and education need more well-rounded, team and independent contributors in the field is now.  Welcome to 'Team AIT'.
